The speakers will outline best practice for devising, developing and producing interactive projects which TV broadcasters, internet service providers and mobile operators really want.
The speakers are Tim Wright, winner of two interactive project BAFTAs, and Frank Alsema, cross media content expert with a considerable track record in Europe. They will introduce -
* Formats & market opportunities
* Budgeting and managing projects
* Production processes
* The producer’s role
* Developing your own proof of concept
* Pitching your demo to potential backers
MAKING IT’s launch event is open to all who register. To register please email by October 25.
The MAKING IT Development Programme
The launch event will also provide the opportunity to become one of just 12 people who take part in a fully-funded project development programme supported by Tim Wright and digital content specialists at the University of Sunderland.
The 12 participants will be chosen within two weeks of the launch following an application process (forms and further information will be available on registration and at the launch). In just three months they will take their ideas from basic concept to presentation standard, to pitch to potential commissioners in March 06.
The development programme will include two weekend workshops on 26/27 November 05 and 11/12 February 06, plus one-to-one sessions, online advice - and the “demo or die” pitching event in March. Applicants must be available for all these dates.
After the public pitching event and following an interview, one project will be chosen for further development support and will be awarded up to £5,000 from Northern Film & Media. Full guidelines will be sent out with the application form.
