‘StorySpinner’ pilot runs in two schools
January 28th, 2005Tim Wright is currently acting as interactive consultant on a pilot study for the ‘StorySpinner’ project, funded by Creative Partnerships.
Running as a series of 5-6 lessons in two schools in Teeside and Nottinghamshire, the project uses web-based technologies and simple multimedia production tools to bring fiction writers and KS2 and KS3 English pupils together.
The children work with writers both online and offline to develop their own original stories, whilst focussing on specific writing skills, such as character creation and motivation, invention of storyworlds, first person narrative, descriptive writing and use of dialogue.
