StorySpinner (2005)
Running initially as a series of 5-6 lessons in two schools in Teeside and Nottinghamshire, StorySpinner uses web-based technologies and simple multimedia production tools to bring fiction writers and KS2/KS3 English pupils together.
XPT has provided consultancy, editing and production skills.
The children work with writers both online and offline to develop their own original stories, whilst focussing on specific writing skills, such as character creation and motivation, invention of storyworlds, first person narrative, descriptive writing and use of dialogue.
